Shin Guards
BUYING GUIDE & FAQ
Choose Shin Guards for Muay Thai, MMA and Kickboxing
Shin guards need to stay centred when you kick, check and move. For Muay Thai and kickboxing, look for coverage along the shin and instep, secure rear straps and a shape that does not press into the knee. MMA striking sessions may favour a lower-profile design, but your gym may specify what is permitted for partner work.
Use each product’s size chart as a starting point, then check the fit around your calf and instep. A guard that is too large can rotate or interfere with movement; one that is too small may leave important areas uncovered. Put it on with bare feet, tighten it evenly and test your stance and basic kicks before training.

Often yes, depending on the model and your gym’s rules.
How do I keep shin guards fresh?
Wipe them after training, air-dry them fully and follow the manufacturer’s care instructions.
